Ivano Ziggiotti
Ivano Ziggiotti was born in the province of Vicenza in 1962.
As a craftsman, he approached calligraphy in 1996 when he enrolled in the Italian Calligraphic Association.
Through the Association he increases his knowledge of various calligraphic styles by attending numerous courses with high-value teachers such as: Denis Brown, James Clough, Giovanni de Faccio, Gottfried Pott, Anna Ronchi, Klaus-Peter Schäffel, Michael Sull.
He discovered his passion for the manuscript book thanks to Klaus-Peter Schäffel and his vocation as a craftsman led him to research, through the study of ancient medieval recipe books, the traditional materials and techniques for the production of colors and inks on his own, which he then uses in the decoration and writing of his manuscripts.
From 2000 to 2018 he produced nine manuscripts. His works have been exhibited in important national and foreign exhibitions in Switzerland, London, Florence in the Medici Riccardi library, and Vicenza.
He teaches at the Italian Calligraphic Association.
