Barnaba Salvador

Unintentional Globe Trotter, as a child, following a family of Italian migrants in Africa between Algeria and Mali.
Thus began a long history of travel in which he alternated his work as a graphic designer with the one of a tour leader, combining in this way his two great passions in the Carnets de Voyage.
At the time of the Fine Arts, which he attended in Venice, he experimented various drawing and painting techniques to finally fall in love with watercolor.
Technique that characterizes his work and that rarely leaves to make room for India ink and for comic-style drawings.

What do you love about Borciani e Bonazzi brushes?

I was lucky enough to visit Borciani e Bonazzi and get to know the protagonists of the production of these fantastic brushes.
A passion from artisans of the past, a care at the limits of fussiness in the choice of hair and fibre, a boundless love for the product that is packaged and ... competence and passion always pay!
For my way of working, I particularly appreciate the 800 series, a good imitation of natural hair for watercolor both for its softness and water retaining capacity, and the 820, a little more rigid.
Features that I love in synthetics and then, of course, the new travel brushes! The series 700, comfortable and solid handle, excellent brushes and ... they are also beautiful!
