Sara Millefoglie

The passion for drawing has been with me since childhood, when I preferred to express my emotions with shapes and colors rather than with words.
I always knew that art would have been an integral part of my life because it was the only way I give vent to my imagination in constant ferment, and art was the thing that make me feel good.
After my artistic studies with a focus on ceramic design and a degree in Fashion and Costume, I dedicated myself to the artisanal creation of bijoux and small sculptures of animals for which I had publications in international magazines such as Flow Magazine and Frankie Magazine, while as a crafter I collaborated with the Italian magazine Donna Creativa.
Since 2019 I have dedicated myself exclusively to illustration and painting, always trying to improve my techniques.
Exploration is fundamental to me, I like to be multifaceted and try different media and styles, while maintaining some constants such as the use of bright colors and the subjects I prefer: I love painting animals, dreamy atmospheres and ethereal female figures, often halfway between real life and dream.

What do you love about Borciani e Bonazzi brushes?

I especially love the versatility and precision of Borciani e Bonazzi brushes.
I find the ergonomic design and attention to detail extraordinary, such as the greater weight of the handle of some series, the blend of fibers to make the tip and the choice not to cut off the feather" but to shape the tip by adjusting the various lengths of the fibers.
Borciani e Bonazzi is certainly an excellent example of the high quality of the Italian craftsman!
Among the brushes that I had the pleasure to try, my favorites are: 820 series synthetic for the versatility and consistency of the tip; Italia 1951 series for the body and flexibility of the tip, perfect for acrylics and gouache; Series 800-801-802 which in addition to high performance with watercolors are very elegant thanks to the lacquered wooden handle and the particular color of the tip; 700 series designed with Silvia Molinari because they are comfortable to take on trips, because while retaining a lot of water they release it gradually, and they are also suitable for both backgrounds and details.
