Massimo Ciavarella

My name is Massimo Ciavarella, I was born in 1973, and I live on the shores of Lake Maggiore, in that part of the province of Varese called Costa fiorita.
I graduated in mechanical engineering disciplines.
The passion for this technique was born in August 2000 in Tuscany where the green hills border the lands with warm ocher colors.
The timeless strength and beauty of these medieval villages have conquered me.
And everything started from there.
As I always say I am in love with color, because it is not just pigment as material of paint: it' transformation, knowledge, movement, vibration and ... madness.
With various teachers I have expanded my artistic background but always leaving room for everything that my art and my creativity allow me to express.
Throughout this journey, a special friend has always been with me: the Music, in particular House Music.
It's part of me and my life, I've worked for several years as a DJ.
So, we can say that he fusion between two colors is like the magical mixing of two discs!

What do you love about Borciani e Bonazzi brushes?

UsuallyI don't use many brushes while I paint, but the ones I use must have the following features: first of all, I need a versatile brush, so that I may do a little bit of everything such as moving from a full stroke to a fine line.
Then a medium-pointed brush so I can create fine strokes with a tip that always remains well defined and does not fall apart.
Finally a fine scroller to create fine movement lines that are a feature of my paintings.
For these reasons, I really appreciated Borciani e Bonazzi UNICO flamed 820 series, a very versatile brush, perfect for watercolor; another one is the amazing 111 series made of red sable, provided with a compact and flawless tip.
